Choose two novels to show how Tony Hillerman uses his knowledge of the Native American beliefs in “skinwalkers”, “chindi” (Navajo Ghosts), shamans, witchcraft, sandpainting and “hohzo” or “xoyo” – the beauty and harmony of the natural world – to create exciting crime mysteries set in the beautiful high desert country of the American Southwest. (The Blessing Way - Dance Hall of the Dead - The Ghostway – Skinwalkers -Talking God - The Wailing Wind - The Shape Shifter - etc.)
The subject requires a good mastery of both written and spoken English as the final document of about 20 pages will be written and presented in English.
